Abstract of Physics Bachelor's degree thesis “Charge carrier mobility and concentration research in polycrystalline CdSe films”

 

 

Investigation of CdSe is done over years because it’s  band gap (1.70 eV) is suitable for applying in various instruments. Despite huge stock of experimental data collected, there’s no single theory which could explain all phenomenon occurring in CdSe yet. In this work thin polycrystalline CdSe films are examined using Hall effect. It has been found that in polycrystalline CdSe films conductivity mechanisms change each other with the temperature changes. In range 0¸50° C barrier model takes over and in range -125¸0° C – electrical model.
